Why give?
The Depot Theatre is a small not-for-profit organization with a big role to play: year-round home in the Hudson Valley for the performing arts.
For nearly 30 years, our stage has welcomed accomplished actors, musicians, dancers, and film directors, as well as wide-eyed kids just beginning to test their talents. Ours is a place for the people of this region to gather, create, learn, inspire, and share. A week of programming at the Depot might include an award-winning documentary, an original play, a dance performance, and a directing workshop. To do all this we need your help. Please consider making a donation today.
With your support, the shows go on.

Giving FAQs

Yes! Ticket sales alone don’t cover our costs. To fill the gap, we rely on grants from private foundations and public institutions (thanks, NYSCA!) and donations. One upshot? You don’t have to be an actor to play an important role at the Depot. Your support is essential. Incidentally, that support can take a range of forms. You can donate, yes, but you can also pitch in by volunteering, placing an ad in our program, sponsoring a show. If you’re interested in any of that, please get in touch.

A little bit of everything, to be honest. New lights, props, performers’ pay. Just about anything that helps us present the kind of shows and performances we, and you, can be proud of.

First, our thanks. With your help, we’re bringing great bands to our stage, nurturing new artists, developing original scripts, teaching kids and adults about acting, lighting, and directing. Together, we’re producing wildly ambitious plays and ridiculously fun musicals. We’re building elaborate sets. We’re screening one mind-blowing documentary after the next. We’re welcoming astonishing talent to our stage. We’re giving this magnificent region the magnificent art it deserves.
